Sidko Limited was established in 1973 by the late (died 1992) M. R. Siddiqi, a widely respected senior personality of the country, who already had a long track record of providing leadership in many diverse fields including politics/governance (with an important organizing role in the Liberation War), education, charitable work (father of Lionism in Bangladesh), business/entrepreneurship (founding many business institutions). Mr. Siddiqi took Sidko early (1984) into the RMG business.
SIDKO Garments division has grown over the years incorporating the following companies Sidko Garments, Sidko Apparels, N.A. Garments & Delta Ties with exports over US$37 million per annum.
SIDKO is also the only Gov’t approved/licensed provider for Community Based Arsenic Removal Plants.
M. R. Siddiqi leaves behind his wife, Mrs. Latifa Siddiqi, and five sons.
