The Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI) organized a post-budget 2025-2026 discussion titled “Budget Insights: Challenges and Opportunities Ahead” on Monday, 23 June 2025, at MCCI Gulshan Office. The event was a joint collaboration between MCCI and Policy Research Institute (PRI). Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, Ministry of Finance, Interim Government of Bangladesh, graced the event as the Chief Guest. MCCI President Mr. Kamran T. Rahman made the welcome remarks followed by Dr. Zaidi Sattar, Chairman, PRI, making his introductory remarks. Later, two keynote presentations were delivered by Dr. Bazlul Haque Khondker, Research Director, PRI, and Mr. Adeeb H. Khan, FCA, Member, Tariff and Taxation Committee, MCCI, respectively. This was followed by a brief question-answer session moderated by Mr. Habibullah N. Karim, Senior Vice-President, MCCI. Then Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, the Chief Guest, delivered his statement. Later, Dr. Zaidi Sattar wrapped up the session. Finally, Mr. Hasan Mahmood, FCA, Chairman, Tariff and Taxation Committee, MCCI, offered a vote of thanks to the attendees. The discussion was attended by members of the business community and the media.
