MCCI Holds FGD on the Procurement Manager’s Index of Bangladesh
The Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI), in collaboration with the Policy Exchange of Bangladesh (PEB), and with the support of Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), organized a focus group discussion (FGD) on the “Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI) of Bangladesh” on 22 September 2024 at its Gulshan office. Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Secretary-General and CEO, MCCI, offered the welcome remarks and moderated the discussion. Mr. Hasnat Alam, Senior Manager, Market & Policy Advisory, Policy Exchange Bangladesh, gave a presentation highlighting the details of the Bangladesh PMI. Later, an open discussion took place. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from MCCI, followed by a call to lunch. MCCI directors Mr. Syed Tareque Md. Ali and Ms. Uzma Chowdhury, along with representatives from MCCI, PEB, and MCCI member firms, attended the discussion event.
