MCCI Hosts FGD on the Purchasing Managers’ Index for Bangladesh
Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI), in collaboration with Policy Exchange of Bangladesh (PEB), and with the support of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the “Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) of Bangladesh” on 21 January 2025 at its Gulshan office. Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Secretary-General and CEO, MCCI, offered the welcome remarks and moderated the discussion. Mr. Ziaur Rahman, Senior Policy Analyst, PEB gave a brief presentation on the PMI program in Bangladesh and its latest report. Following the presentation, an open discussion ensued, where the participants, who are the key respondents providing valuable insights for the PMI report, shared their perspectives. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from MCCI, followed by lunch.
