MCCI Organizes Session for ASEAN Diplomats
On 9 December 2025, the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI) hosted a session for a delegation of ASEAN diplomats at its Gulshan office. The session was a part of a short diplomatic training course titled “Enhancing Engagement with ASEAN Countries” organized by the Foreign Service Academy (FSA). The objective of the session was to familiarize the participants with MCCI’s endeavors in promoting trade and commerce in Bangladesh. Diplomats from seven ASEAN member states attended the session. Mr. Iqbal Ahmed, Director General, FSA & Head of Delegation, Mr. Kamran T. Rahman, President, MCCI, Mr. Habibullah N. Karim, Senior Vice-President, MCCI, Mr. Tareque Md. Ali, Director, MCCI, and Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Secretary-General and CEO, MCCI were also present during the session.
