Dr. Arif Dowla has been the Group CEO for 15 years of one of the largest business conglomerates in Bangladesh, having 37 business units and 18000+ employees. Main businesses are Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Agribusiness, Consumer Brands, Retail Chain, Motors and Plastics. Several of the businesses are market leaders in the country. Most of the Business are linked to the underlying development of the economy of Bangladesh in critical and enabling growth sectors. Technology adoption and digitalization are core focus areas for driving the growth of the businesses. ACI Group won “Enterprise of the Year” award from DHL-Daily Star in 2011. Served as Chairman of Mutual Trust Bank for two years (2012-2014) and Vice Chairman for four years(2007-2011). Appointed as Honorary Consul of Belgium in Bangladesh since 2011. He was Young Global Leader honoree of the World Economic Forum in 2009. Dr. Dowla holds a Ph.D in Mathematics from University of California, San Diego and is a member of the American Mathematical Society.
