46th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Father of the Nation
On the occasion of the 46 th Martyrdom Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day 2021, the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) organized a virtual seminar titled “বঙ্গবন্ধুর অর্থনৈতিক দর্শন:শিল্প ও বাণিজ্য উন্নয়নে বাংলাদেশ“ on 11 August 2021 at 11 am. Barrister Nihad Kabir, President, the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI) participated in the seminar as a panel discussant. In her intervention, the President highlighted Bangabandhu’s contribution in laying the foundation of Bangladesh’s industrial and trade development. She also pointed out the success Bangabandhu had in promoting investment in a war-ravaged country and making Bangladesh a member of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). She strongly believed that today’s pro-business environment was the result of Bangabandhu’s earlier works. The President praised Bangabandhu’s economic philosophy and believed that he will forever remain in the hearts of Bangladeshis.
