MCCI Hosts Focus Group Discussion on Bangladesh’s Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI)
Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI), in collaboration with the Policy Exchange of Bangladesh (PEB) and with the support of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on “Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) of Bangladesh” on 25 August 2025 at its Gulshan office. Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Secretary General and CEO of MCCI, delivered the welcome remarks and moderated the discussion. Mr. Hassib Hasan, Analyst and Programme Coordinator at PEB, presented an overview of the PMI program in Bangladesh and shared insights from the latest report. Following the presentation, an open discussion took place in which participants, the key respondents who provided valuable input for the PMI report and its future outreach plan, shared their perspectives. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from MCCI. Representatives from MCCI, PEB, and MCCI member firms attended the discussion.
