MCCI Hosts Discussion Session on Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for Bangladesh
Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI), in collaboration with the Policy Exchange of Bangladesh (PEB) and supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), organized a Discussion Session on “Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for Bangladesh” on 25 September 2025 at its Gulshan office. Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Secretary-General and CEO of MCCI, delivered the welcome remarks and moderated the discussion. Mr. Hasnat Alam, Economist and Senior Manager at PEB, presented an overview of the PMI program in Bangladesh and shared insights from the latest report. Following the presentation, an open discussion took place in which participants shared their perspectives. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from MCCI. Representatives from MCCI, PEB, and MCCI member firms attended the discussion.
