MCCI Launches Bangladesh Business Climate Index 2024-25
The Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI), in collaboration with Policy Exchange Bangladesh (PEB), launched the 4th annual edition of the Bangladesh Business Climate Index (BBX-4) at its Gulshan office on 16 October 2025. The BBX assesses the overall business environment, policy landscape, and emerging challenges — including disruptions in global supply chains and ongoing geopolitical tensions. Mr. Sk. Bashir Uddin, Honorable Adviser, Ministry of Commerce, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Mr. Ben Carson, Trade and Investment Commissioner, Australian High Commission, Bangladesh, attended the event as the Guest of Honor. MCCI President Mr. Kamran T. Rahman offered the welcome remarks, while Dr. M. Masrur Reaz, Chairman and CEO, PEB, delivered the keynote presentation. The event was attended by business community members, diplomatic representatives, government officials, and media personnel.
