MCCI Organizes Post-Budget Dialogue on National Budget FY2026-2027
The Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI) hosted a Post-Budget Dialogue on National Budget FY2026-2027 on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, at its Gulshan Office. The event was a joint collaboration between MCCI, Standard Chartered Bangladesh (SCB), and Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh (PRI). Dr. Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Hon’ble Adviser to the Prime Minister, Ministry of Finance & Ministry of Planning, graced the event as the Chief Guest. MCCI President Mr. Kamran T. Rahman delivered the welcome statement, followed by opening remarks from Mr. Naser Ezaz Bijoy, CEO, SCB, and introductory remarks from Dr. Zaidi Sattar, Chairman, PRI. Context-setting was done by Mr. Hasan Mahmood, FCA, Chairman, Tariff and Taxation Committee, MCCI. Two insightful presentations were delivered by Dr. Ahmad Ahsan, Director, PRI, and Mr. Sarker Nahidul Islam, FCA, Director–Tax and Advisory Services, Rahman Rahman Huq. The session featured an interactive discussion and Q&A moderated by Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Secretary-General and CEO, MCCI, before the Chief Guest’s address. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from MCCI. The event was attended by policymakers, economists, business leaders, private sector representatives, and members of the media.
